Those women who have had different experiences met at a common point: They were living on their own. When we, four women photographers, set out to listen to their stories, we wanted to get to know these women in their seventies and tell their stories.
Some had to live alone, some had preferred to live alone. Each of them had different economic opportunities and belonged to different social classes. They have lived more or less in the same time period and each produced creative solutions to similar problems in their own way.
The answers we received to the questions we asked them were very informative for us too.
